Our Story
Inspiration
In 2016, I became acutely aware of the disparity in access to essential services in my city. While my business catered to the affluent middle class, I couldn't ignore the pressing needs of underserved communities. Determined to make a difference, I sought a way to close this gap by providing support to those in need.
Before the onset of the pandemic, I collaborated with a business partner to establish a physical store, offering hair services and selling second-hand products collected from our clientele. In addition, we showcased handcrafted upcycled items made by local artists, with any unsold merchandise being graciously donated to nonprofits aiding disadvantaged populations.
As the demand for assistance continues to grow, I have shifted my focus towards furthering these efforts. What began with modest contributions to a few nonprofit organizations has now evolved into an annual donation exceeding 8 tons, all while actively working to prevent any waste from ending up in landfills.
