Our Story

My name is Teresa Delgado, and I am the founder of FLUID Professional Organizing. I started this company because I believe our spaces should give us peace, not stress, and because I saw a powerful opportunity to connect clutter with community need.

My journey into organizing is rooted in community care. Before the pandemic, I worked directly with nonprofits, providing personal care services. Through this work, I learned first-hand about the specific needs of different community organizations. When I began offering professional organizing services in 2021, my clients would often have quality items they no longer needed. Instead of letting these goods go to waste, I made it my mission to ensure they found a second life.

Sustainability is our priority.
Let's work together.

A Circular System, From Stain to Sanctuary

This mission extends to every item, even those others might discard. When faced with stained or worn bedding, towels, and clothing, I apply my cosmetology sanitation knowledge to wash and sanitize them thoroughly. I then cut, shred, and assemble these textiles into cozy, upcycled pet beds. Each month, I supply beds and clean towels to animal rescue shelters like Rocket Dog Rescue, Oakland Animal Services, Hayward Animal Services, and to families adopting rescued animals, ensuring nothing usable goes to waste.

What started with donating to two organizations has grown into a network of over 15 trusted non-profits across the Bay Area and Sacramento—a connection deepened by my volunteer work with institutions like the Oakland Museum White Elephant Sale. Last year, this full-circle system allowed us to redirect 1.5 tons of household goods and textiles from landfills to people and pets who need them.

Educating the Next Generation

I am passionate about teaching these circular economy principles. I lead monthly sewing workshops at Covenant House Oakland and the San Leandro Main Public Library, empowering local youth with practical skills to repurpose materials. In 2024, this innovative approach was recognized when I won 2nd place in the WPWMA Circular Economy Pitch Competition, validating our model's potential for wider impact.

Let's work together to turn clutter into comfort for you and essential resources for our community. Let's build a more organized, sustainable, and compassionate world—one space at a time.

Diverting Textiles, Supporting Community

A core part of our mission is keeping textiles out of landfills. From stained linens to worn clothing, we apply rigorous sanitation protocols to clean and transform these materials. They are donated directly to shelters or creatively repurposed into pet beds for animal rescues. This hands-on diversion work is funded in part through our partnership with TruEarth.

You can directly support our textile recovery and community programs by purchasing eco-friendly products through our dedicated TruEarth fundraising store. Every purchase helps us acquire the supplies needed to wash, sanitize, and repurpose more materials.
